CAS is making a grant to the Holt Local History Society to support a new geophysical survey of the tile and pottery works of the Twentieth Legion. In addition to the potential research value of the work, there is an opportunity for our members to volunteer on the project in January and February 2018.

An exhibition, ‘Digging the Clwydians’ will open on Saturday 6 January at The Gallery, Loggerheads Country Park, Ruthin Road, Mold CH7 5LH. This has been organised by the Clwydian Range Archaeology Group (CRAG) and will be open every day between 10am and 4pm until Sunday 28 January.
