Gorse Stacks Bus Interchange with  Comments on the Report to Strategic Planning Committee
We regret that our detailed demonstration, based on a recent assessment in the Chester Archaeological Plan, that the archaeological remains on this site are of national significance and therefore warrant an attempt at preservation in situ has been ignored (see the  Late Information Report, Agenda Item 6, paras 12 and 13) and that a previous agreement to wholesale excavation has been preferred. The only consolation is that the new development proposals may not be as damaging as the former ones.
